Resolution IT has been short-listed for the Natwest Best Small Business Award at the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2009

It is with great pleasure that we can report that Resolution IT Limited has been short-listed for the category of Natwest Best Small Business for the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2009.

Resolution IT presented its submission in November 2009 and was selected with two other candidates and invited to make a further presentation directly to the judging panel last week.

Shortlisted for Small Business AwardThe judging panel consists of:

- Deputy Robert Sillars, Chairman and Member of the Commerce & Employment Department
- Mr Paul Luxon, representing the Chamber of Commerce
- Mr Mark Thompson, representing the Institute of Directors
- Mr Peter Budwin, representing the Confederation of Guernsey Industry
- Mrs Esther Dodd, representing the Young Business Group
- Mr Jim Gilligan, representing the Guernsey International Business Association

Chair of the Judging Panel, Deputy Robert Sillars told the media that the panel was impressed with the diversity of the submissions and it had proved extremely difficult to separate some of the entrants. “Going through the judging process for each of the three awards made it very clear to me that Guernsey has a wide range of businesses who are, in their respective fields, pushing the boundaries and often succeeding in very difficult areas. All too often we hear about the failures in the business world but it was very obvious and inspiring to all the judges that there are some great success stories within our community.”

The winners of each of the Awards will remain strictly confidential until the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2009 Gala Presentation Evening on Thursday 4th February 2010.

Steve Brehaut says “We have worked hard as a team to build up a great customer base. This is always difficult for a new company and even more so when customers have to entrust their systems in to the hands of a new company.  We just want to thank those customers that have supported and encouraged us.  It is those customers that gave us an opportunity to succeed and have a chance to be recognised for this Award.”

Olly Duquemin adds “We are proud of our customers, our company, and our team and although our company is still small we have big ideas and an even greater enthusiasm to continually learn and do better for our customers through responding to the market and staying a little different to the rest and one step ahead.”
