Chief Executive Officer

Olly founded Resolution IT in 2007 with Steve Brehaut and Phil Duquemin.  The driving force behind the business and market development activities, Olly directs Resolution IT with a strong focus on service.  Motivated by the unique requirements of each client, Olly manages client relations closely supported by the rest of the team.  

Olly is an accredited Microsoft Sales Specialist in Office 365, Mid-Market Solutions, Server Platform and Small Business.  In addition he is a Microsoft Certified Professional, Qualified Computer Engineer and A+ Hardware and Software Certified Professional. Olly has a vast technical background with experience in all aspects of business IT support and solutions with specialties including Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Hyper V, Cloud Solutions and Network Architecture including large managed wireless networks. 

When out of the office, Olly's interests include water sports, motorsport and skiing.

Steve founded Resolution IT in 2007 with Olly and Phil Duquemin. Validated by extensive experience, Steve leads the technical direction of the company. Managing the team of highly skilled engineers, he provides strategic oversight to all IT support and services.

Steve has vast knowledge across the suite of Microsoft products including; Microsoft Server 2008/2012 and Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Hyper-V.  In addition, Steve specialises in remote desktop solutions and all aspects of networking,

When he’s not in the office, Steve enjoys family life, being outdoors, general fitness, motorsport and DIY.  

 

Philip Duquemin

Philip founded Resolution IT in 2007 with Olly Duquemin and Steve Brehaut. An accomplished businessman and Non-Executive Director Philip Duquemin brings a wealth of experience to Resolution IT.  Philip's expertise spans across disciplines such as accountancy, finance and office technology as well as markets in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia and as such, provides valued advisory, professional experience and expertise.

Appointed to a series of senior management roles for global brands including KPMG, Gestetner Group plc and NRG International (the international distributor arm of the Ricoh Group), Philip is a distinguished businessman whose work has been appreciated on a worldwide scale.     

Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a specialist in commercial and trading business, distributor operations and business efficiencies and expansion. 

Philip and his wife have two children, two grandchildren and his interests include fishing, playing golf and boating.

Pierre Jehan’s specialist systems knowledge provides a vital link for clients between the available technologies and what fits for their business.  As such, Pierre has delivered huge benefit to clients through strategic business IT solutions.  Pierre has built strong client relationships, becoming a trusted business partner to many during his three years with the company. 

Pierre’s managerial role at Resolution IT spans across strategy and support, client and project management and business development.  With over eighteen years experience in the IT industry, Pierre’s experience working for clients in the Channel Islands with global requirements is invaluable. 

Fully trained across the suite of hardware and software partners, Pierre’s high standard of technical knowledge ensures a fast and effective service. A great benefit to clients is Pierre’s strong focus on making sure the capabilities of systems and technologies are exploited, ensuring efficiency and ease of use.

Operations Director Matt Le Patourel has been with Resolution IT for seven years and was the first team member employed by the company.  Since then Matt has continued to showcase his unparalleled value to the business with a wealth of management experience across the Operations of the business and exceptional technical knowledge. 

Matt’s exceptional technical knowledge ensures a fast and effective service, he is heavily experienced in large-scale business IT infrastructure planning and implementation and providing user training for new technologies. Matt has extensive experience of larger business environments where there is a need for a more diverse, yet controlled environment where the computer up time and security of the systems is relied upon by so many.  This expertise is paramount and certainly adds to Resolution IT's skill base.

Matt is a keen boater and enjoys active sports and skiing.

Head of Professional Services

Dan joined Resolution IT from the UK SME market place, with experience in internal IT, software and project delivery management. He has a high level of knowledge and broad expertise in the IT industry, with a wide understanding of delivering complex infrastructures with exceptional customer service. This includes Windows server environments, multi-site clustering, Microsoft Active Directory, on-premise and cloud based exchange systems and virtualised environments.

In his spare time, Dan loves playing rugby and spending time with his daughter in the UK.

John-Paul Wakeford

Head of Managed Services

John-Paul was previously an IT manager for a large international insurance company and has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry.  He has worked on a wide range of in-house systems and projects and is now keen to expand this knowledge base to Office 365 and other hosted environments. 

He has an interest in IT security and new technologies and is always keen to learn about new IT systems.

In his spare time John-Paul enjoys fishing, golf, and renovating his house.

Aimee has joined us with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, gaining a vast set of IT skills and experience, as well as being CompTIA and ITIL qualified.

For the last decade, she has worked for a large Private Bank as Lead IT Analyst where she managed the global helpdesk, supporting the in-house developed applications and managed & supported the Windows Server, Citrix, and SQL server environments.

In her spare time she enjoys family time with two very busy children, as well as running, walking and the gym.

Chantal joins us after a long career in sales and client account management.  Experienced at working to tight deadlines and under considerable pressure, her organisational and interpersonal skills are a welcome addition to our Service Desk team.

Chantal is passionate about cycling, in particular mountain biking, where she continues to learn new tricks and adds to her collection of bruises!

Cole has worked within the IT industry for over 12 years and has the “Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator” status. Cole has vast experience in Windows Server and Desktop platforms ranging from Windows XP to Server 2016 and Windows 10, Exchange Server 2003 – 2016, Hyper-V, ADDS, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Clustering, Powershell, Backup and Disaster Recovery among other applications and systems. 

When not working Cole likes to keep fit and enjoys football and computer gaming.

Robin joined us with over 30 years working in the IT sector, with extensive knowledge in networking, server, IT security and desktop products. He has been the key architect & technical resource in some of the largest IT implementations in the Channel Islands and beyond. He has extensive knowledge across the Microsoft suite, VMware & Citrix products, including; Microsoft Server 2003-19 & Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, XenApp, vSpere & Checkpoint Firewall.

Outside of work, Robin enjoys cooking, scuba diving & snowboarding, as well as taking a keen interest in local history.

Aaron managed the IT department for a large local Insurance company for four years.  During this period he gained a vast amount of experience working with multiple operating and communication systems while providing a high level of support to end users.   Aaron is now looking to grow his skill set and become certified within our fast growing business.

In his spare time Aaron enjoys cycling, surfing, kitesurfing and teaching skiing whenever he can.

Matt has joined Resolution IT with over 12 years experience in the IT industry, after fulfilling roles in outsourced IT, sales and in-house support. This has given him a broad experience across multiple platforms and technologies, whilst being able to provide support to customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Josh joins us with a telecommunications background, with experience in everything from internal IT to ISP customer services. His certifications include Cisco CCNA and Azure AZ900. His role at Resolution IT is to assist with the design, deployment and support of network and firewall solutions, working with both our Security and Service Desk teams.

Outside of work, Josh has a keen interest in aviation and is working towards his PPL. He also enjoys gaming and walking.

Oliver has joined us with over five years of in-house IT experience, ranging from service desk support to all aspects of a large IT infrastructure. He enjoys working with a wide range of IT systems, including Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Citrix & VMware.

When he's not in the office, he enjoys football, keeping fit at the gym, travelling and cryptocurrency & stock trading.

Jon Grantham

Systems Engineer Jon Grantham joins the team with 6 years’ experience in in-house and outsourced IT roles. During this time he has supported many different businesses and has had exposure in many different platforms, more recently hosted and multitenant environments. He has a strong interest in Virtual Platforms, Disaster Recovery and Security.

In his spare time Jon practices Powerlifting and competes in the majority of local Powerlifting and Strongman events.

Jake has been with Resolution IT since 2016, during which time he has completed his Comptia A+, Kyocera certification, Azure Fundamentals and two Microsoft Server exams, as well as finding time to train as a Mental Health First Aider. He has a vast technical knowledge which includes Microsoft Server and Desktop, Microsoft Hyper V, Cloud Solutions including Microsoft Azure and SharePoint. Jake also heads up the Managed Print department with seven years commercial print and five years desktop/office print maintenance and planning experience.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys photography, hiking and gaming.

Alastair has a retail background within a large communications business where he gained invaluable lessons in customer service.   This gives him a great foundation for his role on our Service Desk and allows him to utilise his skills so our clients receive a professional and productive first line support experience.

In his spare time Alastair enjoys the gym and martial arts. He also works with a fundraising group which raise money for local charities by playing video games.

Oscar is one of our Senior Technicians and joined us with a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Information Technology. Oscar provides friendly and professional assistance to a broad cross-section of clients with a wide variety of IT issues, having gained previous experience working in IT for a large financial institution on the island

 In his spare time he is a keen skier and football fan.

Outside of work, Luke produces electronic dance music and occasionally DJ's with 14 years of experience.

Jonathan Warr

Jonathan started his professional career at Deloitte Guernsey before transferring to London to further his experience. He became a Microsoft Certified Professional in 2011 and worked for a further five years in London, four at Deloitte and one at a top IT Managed Server Provider specialising in Hedge Funds. Jonathan moved back to Guernsey and joined Resolution IT in 2019.

Jonathan is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing hockey, golf and cricket in his spare time.

Luke originally studied IT at school and since joining us has passed a number of CompTIA exams, regarded as the industry standard for establishing a career in IT. Luke has achieved the CompTIA A+ , Network + and Security+ which collectively demonstrates a sound understanding of today's core technologies: cloud, security, data management, network design, cabling, hardware setup, configuration, installation, support & troubleshooting. 

His hobbies include playing basketball (he was on last year's U21 Island team), gaming and socialising.

Luke has finished his second year of his BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT which has allowed him to gain a vast amount of knowledge within this sector. He has previously worked as a Drum Teacher as well as within retail which has allowed him to gain valuable customer service skills.

David has joined us as a qualified electrician and having worked in the finance sector. This has given him the key skills and experiences to work well in an office environment, as well as on site, dealing with client requests and problem solving their issues. He's now looking forward to progressing his career in IT and pursuing the relevant professional qualifications.

Outside of work, David enjoys playing football and doing photography. He also likes to get away to Italy often and is learning Italian.

James studied IT at the College of Further Education, taking a particular interest in IT security, app development and programming. Having worked in telecoms, gaining experience in a customer facing role, he has joined us on the Service Desk but will also be focusing on Managed Print.

Outside of work, James enjoys learning about and experimenting with visual effects, as well as learning about new technologies. He also enjoys playing video games, cooking and socialising.

With a background in the public sector, Shaun has joined our growing team of Technicians. He's currently working towards his CompTIA A+ qualification, before moving on to CompTIA Network & Cloud + qualifications. He has always had an interest in IT, using his self-taught IT skills to build a specialised gaming PC.

Shaun's hobbies include, unsurprisingly, gaming, spending time with his family and walking his dog.

Dan has rejoined us on a temporary basis, having had his time in the Far East cut short by the global pandemic. With experience in the IT industry dating back over 16 years, Dan is a qualified computer engineer and Microsoft Certified Professional. He has extensive knowledge of many aspects of IT hardware & software, including networking, wireless, back up, virus removal and numerous business applications including cloud computing. 

In his spare time, Dan likes to play football and enjoys photography, travel and crochet.

James is our highly experienced head of Information Security, with an extensive history of working in the information technology and services industry. He is a qualified Information Security auditor, able to audit companies to Cyber Essentials + and IASME Gold standards. He holds a Masters Degree, with a focus on IT and Information Security, from the University of Liverpool.  

James is married to Ellie, with two daughters, Lily and Olivia. James’ interests include family life, football, surfing and keeping fit.

Since joining Resolution IT in 2015, James has earned the ISC2 SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) and is able to certify organisations to the Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance standards. He also holds Microsoft MCSA Windows 8 and 10 certifications, as well as CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ accreditations. With a keen interest in security, specifically auditing and IT governance, he is well placed to advise clients in best practice along their cyber security journey.

In his spare time, James plays guitar in a local band, enjoys keeping fit and gaming.

Nick has worked in security roles in both the public and private sector and particularly enjoys helping people understand that everyone has a role in securing valuable information. He holds the globally recognised ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) qualification and is a Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance assessor.

Nick also works as a group exercise instructor and enjoys cooking in his spare time.

Shaun leads our Business Solutions team and has an excellent knowledge of both Office 365 and Sharepoint systems having migrated many clients to these popular solutions.  As such, he has a strong understanding of the latest technologies available.   

Shaun studied Computer Science at the University of Brighton and is currently working through the Microsoft accreditations. 

In his spare time, Shaun enjoys sports, music and travelling.

Since joining the Business Solutions team, Dave has gained an MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) accreditation, Azure Developer and DevOps Engineering Expert certifications as well as an Agile Project management qualification. His area of expertise is in the development of custom software and cloud solutions.

Dave joined Resolution IT from the public sector where he worked on ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems and other business software.

In his spare time Dave plays guitar in several bands and is a Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu.

Ollie has joined Resolution IT as a Trainee Solutions Developer, with previous experience developing applications within the Microsoft Office 365 Environment and an Extended Diploma in Computing from the Guernsey College of Further Education. As part of the Business Solutions team, he will be developing a variety of applications to meet the needs of clients.

Outside of work, Ollie develops video games and small apps for personal use, and is a keen cyclist. Additionally, he enjoys playing video games, socialising and learning about new developments in technology.

With over a decade of experience across a number of roles in the IT industry, she brings with her a real passion for training, upskilling and empowering companies to achieve their modern work place potential.

She is looking forward to becoming a Microsoft 365 champion, enabling clients to become more efficient, productive and agile.

James is our Marketing & Client Services Manager, working alongside Pierre, to keep clients informed of the latest technologies and advising on the best fits for their business. James also heads up our marketing department, tasked with expanding the reach of Resolution IT in Guernsey and assisting the Resolution IT Dubai team. With a background in marketing and project management, James’ experience is a great addition for our clients and us as a team.

Outside of work, James is a keen runner and can be found plodding along the coast most weekends.

Outside of work, Joe has a young son who keeps him and his wife very busy. He's also a big football fan and supports Preston North End, watching them on their all too rare TV appearances.

With over 25 years of marketing communications experience, both in-house and in agencies in Guernsey, the UK and Dubai, Alison is Resolution IT’s PR & Comms Executive, looking after all comms both externally and internally. She holds the CIPR's PR Diploma and the Marketing Week Marketing Mini MBA. She also provides pro bono PR support to Channel Islands Air Search.

In her spare time, Alison enjoys quilting, knitting and gardening,  which she realises makes her sound very middle aged.

Tove is an executive in our marketing team, where she works on our social media, communications, and visual brand identity.

Tove has a strong creative background and brings over five years of experience in a corporate marketing environment. She joins us from a leading offshore law firm where she worked within the brand and communications team.

Outside of work and when she’s not in the studio, Tove loves exploring, sea swimming and hosting dinner parties.

From a high-level and notable career in banking, Debbie has a wealth of experience in office and people management. The linchpin of the office, as Senior Business Support Manager, Debbie leads our growing business support team who carry out a range of duties which keep Resolution IT functioning.

When she’s not leading the business support team, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, including four grandchildren, swimming, reading and has an interest in genealogy.

Simon has over a decade of experience working in Human Resources for the public sector, supporting various States of Guernsey Committees. During this time, he provided advice on a range of issues such as the terms and conditions of employment, workforce planning, performance management, disciplinary and grievances and all aspects of recruitment and selection. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personal and Development (CIPD) and recently completed the Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management.

In his spare time, Simon enjoys running and travelling off-island to watch football and attending festivals.

Frances joins us after a long career in Private Banking where she was Senior Manager of a large client services team. Her customer liaison and organisation skills are a welcomed addition to the Business Support team at Resolution IT.

Outside of the office Frances enjoys a range of activities which include weight training, running and nutrition, something that will certainly help keep the team in shape.

Jo’s career history spans over 20 years working in Private Banking, where she has held roles in settlements, reconciliations, HR and more recently operational risk management.

Now working alongside the Business Support team at Resolution IT, Jo is responsible for HR and facilities management as well as any other tasks needed in the busy office.

Outside of work Jo is a busy mum of two young girls, Megan and Ella and enjoys walking her two dogs.

Sam has joined us with 20+ years experience in business support; from a telephonist with Guernsey Telecoms, to a PA, and Accounts with a local electronics firm, then more recently as an Examinations Officer. As part of the Business Support Team she looks after the administration for our DR Suites and Resolution IT Academy, as well as many other administration duties in our busy office environment.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her family, all aspects of crafting, holidays and MotoGP.

Jo has joined Resolution IT as a temporary member of staff, assisting with project work. She has over 15 years experience in compliance, firstly within a large private bank and more recently in a local trust company. Jo has seen the rapid growth of the business, from a team of three, working in the small office next to her house and she has always been keen to join the team in some capacity.

 When she is not being kept busy by two very active daughters, Jo enjoys open water swimming, keeping fit, attending HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) classes and taking part in SwimRun events.

Chris is our Delivery Driver, responsible for all our deliveries and our secure daily back up collection.

A varied past career spans time spent as a trained carpenter-joiner, prison officer, building superintendent and surveyor for the States of Guernsey. In his spare time, Chris is heavily involved in sport, representing the island at level lawn bowls, as well as playing golf and enjoying cycling.
