Happy Friday and well done to Shaun, Todd and Nick for this week's golden feedback! We're starting the weekend with… https://t.co/r1DN0WqdlB
Understanding your cyber security risk is half the battle.
Not a week goes by without news appearing of yet another high profile cyber attack. With the rise of the IoT, mobile working of staff and the continuing scarcity of cyber security experts, businesses will need to really understand where their weak cyber points are and be prepared to mitigate those risks. Boards need to understand that IT does not equal security and it is their responsibility to put the right protection in place. They also need to be aware and trained to recognise that the cyber threat might also exist within their own business.
In addition to recommending firewalls, anti-virus protection, email security and data recovery solutions, plus a range of other cyber security services, we are a Cyber Essentials certification body and offer a range of certifications, as well as cyber security training for your staff.
We believe understanding your cyber risks is key and we can work with you to identify them, recommending a number of options which will provide a layer defense to cyber security.
As John F Kennedy said: 'There are risks and costs to a program of action - but they are far less than the long range cost of comfortable inaction.'

We've partnered with local communications agency, Black Vanilla, to offer a Cyber Crisis Communications Respond & Recover Package. The GFSC's Cyber Security Rules & Guidance state a plan must be place to mitigate any disruption caused by a cyber security event and for businesses to be aware of the steps needed to recover from a security event. Within that plan should be an understanding of how to communicate any cyber security incident. Contact Black Vanilla for more details.
