One of our clients, the Avantis Group of companies has started its cyber security certification journey, with Avantis, Arena Systems and Ortac Underwriting all gaining their Cyber Essentials certifications, having been prepared and certified by ourselves.
Richard Tee, CEO of the Avantis group said: ‘Gaining our Cyber Essentials certification is a great first step as our group addresses cyber risks to protect us and our clients as we grow and prosper together.’
James Kelsh, our Senior information Security Consultant said: ‘The cyber security landscape is constantly changing and a certification like Cyber Essentials brings many benefits to organisations who go through the process. This UK government backed scheme was launched in 2014 and provides simple but effective guidelines for mitigating the risks of cyber attacks.
‘Cyber Essentials certified businesses are demonstrating they are taking the first steps on their cyber security journey by adopting best practices for their cyber security strategy. The Avantis group is one of over 40 companies we have taken through Cyber Essentials certifications this year alone, demonstrating the importance they place on third party due diligence which reflects the increasing ask for companies to show they are securing their data correctly.’
