We've been passionate about the accessibility, efficiency and scalability of cloud computing for many years. Whether it's a public, private or hybrid cloud environment, clients are seeing the enormous benefits the cloud bring to our working lives, especially since the global pandemic affected us all.
Our staff continue to develop their own cloud specialisms and three of our team have just passed exams which set them at the top of the on-island cloud services field. Steve Brehaut, our Managing Director said:
What all the following qualifications demonstrate is that as the range and capability of technologies has expanded, so has the IT specialisms required to master them. It also demonstrates our long commitment to the flexible, agile and cost-effective benefits of a cloud-first approach.
We are firm believers in continuous professional development and support our staff in gaining industry recognised qualifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. These are fantastic personal achievements which, collectively, continue to strengthen the breadth of our service offering to clients, both existing and new.’
Dave Wratten, Business Solutions Architect, has become a Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert. The DevOps process is designed to reduce the time for applications and services to be delivered to clients, whilst ensuring the highest quality service and solution.
Said Dave: ‘It’s a continuous cycle of plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, operate and monitor which I have put in to practice recently when building the new Subscription solution for St John Ambulance, as well as other ongoing projects across our client base. It’s fantastic to be a part of a team which offers such comprehensive cloud solutions to clients.’
Our Senior Systems Consultant, Cole Osborne, has recently passed the Microsoft’s MS-203 exam. Cole said “My qualification is designed for Messaging Administrators who deploy, configure, manage, troubleshoot, and monitor recipients, permissions, mail protection, mail flow, and public folders in hybrid and cloud enterprise environments. I’ve been applying it to multiple hybrid exchange deployments, utilising both on-premise and cloud services. As we all move to a more flexible and collaborative working environment, the need for these types of deployment is becoming more common. This is the way the world is going and at Resolution IT we are striving to embrace all these new and innovative technologies to provide our customers with the best possible tools to work as efficiently as possible.’
Ollie Le Prevost has recently qualified as an Azure Security Engineer, allowing him to securely maintain Azure cloud based and hybrid environments. Requiring a thorough knowledge of data and application security techniques, Azure platform protection, and identity and access control policies, the certification demonstrates Ollie's ability to correctly implement modern security features and policies in an Azure cloud environment. Ollie added: ‘As more and more businesses see the benefits of moving to the cloud and people become more conscious about where their data is stored and how it is shared, having the correct security layering in place is crucial. I spent 25 hours preparing for the exam, with Resolution IT making sure I had access to sufficient resources to ensure my knowledge is up to scratch.'
