Whilst the world is consumed with the coronavirus pandemic, an estimated 1.7 billion people have been told to stay at home. In many cases, the call to lockdown was very short (in the case of India, just four hours) which meant not everyone was as prepared as they could have been to work from home for an unspecified period of time.
This has given rise to an enormous rise in cyber crime as criminals have looked to exploit weaknesses; both in the sytems people are using as well as in people's psyche, tricking them into clicking things they ordinarily wouldn't have clicked on within their normaoffice structure.
We are urging everyone to think carefully about any emails, texts or emails they may receive, as well as carry out some simple checks on their IT infrastruture.
